Dairy sector analysis
Overall, the dairy industry has steadily declined over the past 3 decades. If we look at the official statistics for the last 10 years only, the drop was sharp. Milk production decreased from 575 thousand tons in 2009 to 367 thousand tons in 2019 (-38%).
